Indigenous-led Food Production

Minwaadizi farm grows certified organic vegetables, herbs, medicines, and seeds with a focus on local seeds and traditional foods. Our teachings of relationality are the foundation of everything we do. Being on the land growing food together as Indigenous peoples is an act of decolonization that can help us to heal our food systems and heal from the ongoing effects of colonization.  Community food giveaways are one way of caring for those who have been historically marginalized and oppressed by colonial food systems.

Community Land Based Learning

Our "Nindinawemaganidog" land based learning programs are opportunities for Indigenous peoples who are passionate about learning how to grow food in a culturally safe setting. We also offer "Reconciliation" land based programming for the wider community looking to deepen their reconciliation journey. See our schedule for upcoming opportunities to join us on the farm, or contact us to inquire about land based learning for your group or organization.

Policy and Advocacy Work

Minwaadizi works at an educational and advisory capacity with organizations such as the National Farmer's Union and Young Agrarians. Our aim with this work is to bring our lived experience to build provincial and national policies to decolonize our food systems, further our own learning, and work towards reconciliation. If your organization is looking for advice or to learn about food systems decolonization please get in touch!
